Energy Investment Grant, The Netherlands (EIA)
Financial profit for investments in energy saving and sustainable energy.
For entrepreneurs in The Netherlands, the Energy Investment grant (EIA) offers a tax profit if you invest in energy saving company assets and sustainable energy. Next to normal financial depreciations, an additional depreciation of 44% on the investment is deductible from the companies taxable income. For one ore more years, companies will have to pay less tax on their profits.
By investing in a energy saving company asset, your company will also directly save costs on the energy bill. Your advantage doubles up: less energy costs and lower taxes.
Energy saving solutions are justified investments supported by the EIA grant. Energy usage (in The Netherlands) is not durable. Besides being dependent on a small number of countries, usage of fossil fuels result in emissions causing climate problems. Therefore the (Dutch) government encourages energy saving projects as well as projects that aim for clean, general available and affordable energy.
